Positive Results for Albania in the TALIS Survey

Albania participated in the OECD’s International Teaching and Learning Survey (TALIS) for the first time, joining 55 education systems worldwide. The country achieved success in several key indicators, often performing above the average of other participating countries.
During a meeting with teachers and school leaders to share these significant results, Prime Minister Rama emphasized that this news is, above all, a very positive message for parents who share the daily challenges of educating their children with teachers.
“First and foremost, it is very good news for parents that, in a prestigious international survey of 55 education systems across the EU, Europe, and non-EU countries, our teachers performed well,” said the Prime Minister, noting that this is a source of pride for Albanian teachers overall.
“Since Albania’s main results at all levels of the survey reflect teachers’ motivation, passion for the profession, and confidence in their students’ ability to learn — which are concretely reflected in initial teacher training and continuous professional development — we have every reason to be proud. In fact, we are proud of you, proud of all the teachers of Albania,” he said.
He added that supporting young teachers, reducing their workload to improve quality, and integrating technology, including artificial intelligence, into classroom practices will be among the government’s upcoming education priorities.
