Minister Nufi Announces Albania’s Deployment of Armed Forces Platoon to NATO Brigade in Romani

Following the Council of Ministers meeting, Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi declared at a press conference that the draft decision to send a platoon of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania to NATO’s Multinational Brigade in Romania had been approved.
The decision, according to the minister, reinforces Albania’s support for the Multinational Brigade stationed in Romania as part of measures to safeguard NATO’s southeast flank and is part of Albania’s ongoing commitment to the Alliance’s worldwide operations.
The deployment of Albanian forces, according to Minister Nufi, will boost regional security and build on the knowledge the Armed Forces have learned from their involvement in international missions. He claims that Albania’s participation is still centered on ensuring common security and carrying out the nation’s obligations under the Alliance.
