Minister of Defence Ermal Nufi Says Maximum Efforts Underway to Contain Fire in Lurë National Park

The wildfire in Lurë National Park, in the Runja area above the village of Borie Lurë, is still being managed with a high-intensity operation, according to Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi. All pertinent structures are fully coordinated in both ground and aerial operations.
Minister Nufi states that while the reaction is being carried out in a coordinated manner by central and local authorities, the primary focus of the operation continues to be safeguarding homes and preventing the spread of the fires.
Firefighters and rescue teams, the Armed Forces, State Police, the Protected Areas Administration, the forestry service, municipal buildings, volunteers, the National Civil Protection Agency, and the Prefecture of Dibër County are among the approximately 220 personnel and emergency responders on the ground.
Two “Air Tractor” aircraft are used to help the operation from the air, performing interventions over the most important fire hotspots and attempting to stop the fire from spreading.
Minister Nufi emphasized that until the fire is totally contained and the wildfire is completely put out, all structures would make every effort.
