Ministry of Defence Reports Improving Wildfire Situation with Four Active Fires and One Under Monitoring

According to the Ministry of Defense, the nation’s wildfire situation is getting better. Four of the 25 wildfires that have been recorded in the last 24 hours are still active, and one is being monitored.
The Armed Forces have contributed 140 people, three helicopters, and two Air Tractor planes to the response, while a total of 350 operational personnel and 26 firefighting vehicles have been deployed in firefighting operations.
Dajt and Priskë in Tirana, Lufaj in Mirditë, and Tërbun in Pukë are the locations of the active fires. Fifty members of the armed forces, fifteen firefighters, and five members of the Protected Areas Agency are still involved in activities in Dajt. Populated places are not under danger. With the help of two helicopters, local officials, volunteers, and the Armed Forces continue to fight fires in Tërbun, Pukë. There have also been no reports of house threats in this area.
In the meantime, the fires in Selenicë, Bruç in Mat, Tharr in Mirditë, and Gurë-Lurë have all been completely put out. Local forces are still working as the situation in Qafë Helmes is monitored.
In order to completely confine the active fires and safeguard populated areas, civil protection structures continue to operate and conduct field monitoring.
