Minister Salla Signs New Agreement with UBT to Expand Opportunities for Students and Scientific Expertise in Agriculture

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla and Fatbardh Sallaku, the Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, have signed a new cooperation agreement. The agreement is intended to enhance the engagement of academic and scientific expertise in the agricultural sector and to bring students closer to the labor market.
The collaboration will offer additional opportunities for professional internships, student career guidance, and information on job openings at the Ministry of Agriculture and its subordinate institutions. Students will have the opportunity to submit applications based on their academic disciplines, merit, and an open competition.
In addition, the agreement outlines the potential for increased academic and scientific collaboration by involving UBT professors and researchers in a variety of disciplines, including agriculture, veterinary medicine, food safety, agricultural economics, biotechnology, aquaculture, and water and land management.
The agreement is intended to forge a more direct connection between the agricultural sector’s requirements, professional experience, and academic education, as per Minister Salla.
