Women heads of households will continue to be supported with next year’s budget.
Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu said today in a post on social networks that over 8,000 women heads of families with three or more children aged up to 18 will continue to benefit from social protection programs with the 2024 budget.
Unemployed women with three or more children up to the age of 18, where one of the children is under the age of 5 and the family has an income of less than 100 thousand gross lekë per month, which are economically inactive categories, will be covered by the compulsory social and health insurance and the payment of their contributions will be financed from the state budget, for the period of childcare up to the age of 5.
The application and verification for inclusion in the special state subsidy program for compulsory social and health insurance payments is done electronically, through the e-Albania government electronic service.
The list of beneficiaries is generated through the National Electronic Register of Economic Assistance at the central level of the State Social Service.
