On December 15, 2023, the 47th meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was held in Istanbul. The Albanian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Besart Kadia.
He appreciated the Turkish leadership of BSEC and once again expressed the willingness and commitment of the Albanian to hold the next presidency of this regional initiative for a period of 6 months starting from January of the new year.
In this context, vice-minister Kadia once again brought to attention Albania’s concrete achievements within the framework of other presidencies such as the Security Council, the Berlin Process, etc.
At the end of the meeting, the Turkish side and at the same time the current chairmanship of BSEC, handed over this presidency to the Albanian side.
