Albania will host one of the most prestigious global legal events, the World Jurist Congress, in 2027, placing the country at the forefront of global legal discourse and underscoring its status as a key participant in the advancement of the rule of law.
Ulsi Manja, Minister of Justice, received Javier Cremades, Global President of the World Jurist Association (WLF), and a delegation of eminent legal experts in Tirana after they had ceremonially received the mandate to organize the World Law Congress in Spain. The discussion focused on Albania’s worthy presence at the World Law Congress in Santo Domingo, as well as the start of preparations for the World Law Congress Albania in 2027.
This congress, known as the Olympics of Law, will bring together some 3,000 jurists, constitutional and supreme court judges, professors, and legal specialists from around the world to Tirana. By hosting this event, Albania has a rare opportunity not only to host a major global conference but also to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to the rule of law, judicial reform, and the improvement of the justice system.
Minister Manja hailed the occasion as a historic achievement for the country.
“A great opportunity for Albania and Albanian legal thinking. Not only will we be hosting a major event that will put Albania in the world spotlight, but we will also be demonstrating our commitment to the rule of law and the improvement of the justice system.”
