Today, Tirana welcomed Albanians from all over the world, including well-known figures of the Arbëreshë community, researchers, and historians, in a series of activities held on the eve of the Diaspora Summit III.
During the day, panels were organized on different topics and served as a meeting point to discuss the all-Albanian contribution in the fields of education, health, economy, arts, and culture. In particular, the Arbëreshë continue to contribute to the development of our country with the same commitment they dedicate to the development of the country they live and work in, constantly appearing as promoters and reinforcers of our relations.
Panels such as “Teaching Arbërishte as a complex process, institutional roles”; “Religion and Reason, Arbëreshë Men and Women: The Challenges of Traditions, Identities and Beliefs in the Postmodern Era”; “History, Art, Culture and Traditions of the Historical Diaspora”; “Cultural Itinerary and “Great Weather”” – became assemblies of discussions with prominent Arbëreshë personalities, researchers and academics, who represented with dignity the Arbëreshë community, which over the centuries has faithfully preserved its rich customs, language, clothing, holidays, traditions, rites and beliefs of their ancestors.
Today’s activities continued with the Golden Eagle Award Gala Evening, which was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, as well as the President of the Republic Bajram Begaj, the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani, and many other dignitaries from political life, art, culture, academia, etc.
