The Minister of State for Local Government, Arbjan Mazniku, was received by the Minister for Territorial Collectivity in France, Dominique Faure, in a bilateral meeting where they discussed the important steps that Albania should take in order to strengthen local government.

During the meeting, Minister Mazniku and his French counterpart Faure discussed the cooperation between the countries on best practices such as local public enterprises and economic support for the development of regions.
The cooperation with France for the strengthening of the local government is a necessary step for the integration of Albania in the European Union.

The two ministers agreed to organize technical exchanges between relevant agencies and municipalities in order to share practical experience in local government management. During these days in Paris, Minister Mazniku held a series of meetings focused on the exchange of experiences needed to improve the functioning of municipalities.
