The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, welcomed today at the international airport “Mother Teresa”, the Secretary of State of the United Kingdom for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development, Lord David Cameron, who paid a visit of several hours to Tirana.

Minister Hasani and Secretary of State Cameron appreciated the good bilateral relations between the two countries, as they emphasized the strengthening of cooperation for the intensification of these relations.

Minister Hasani appreciated the support of the United Kingdom on Albania’s path to EU integration, and underlined that Albania welcomes British investments and support in strategic sectors, such as defense, security, energy, infrastructure, etc.

Secretary of State David Cameron was received in a meeting by Prime Minister Edi Rama. After the meeting, the two officials held a joint statement to the media.
