The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, today met with the Italian Ambassador in Tirana, Fabrizio Bucci.

During the meeting, the importance of friendly and fruitful relations between the Albanian and Italian governments was underlined.

The ongoing cooperation through bilateral agreements was also positively assessed, not only in the field of health and social protection, but also in Albania’s path towards the EU integration process.

Koçiu and Bucci also discussed long-term projects, thanks to which a number of concrete works have been carried out for the restructuring of polyclinics and the addition of hospital equipment in several cities in Albania.

Special emphasis was also placed on the promotion and strengthening of scientific and technical initiatives and academic relations in the field of medicine between the two countries.
