Minister Salla Announces Agricultural Insurance Scheme to Protect Farmers Against Natural Disasters

Agriculture and Rural Development Minister The creation of an agricultural insurance program, a new system designed to shield farmers and agricultural output from harm brought on by natural disasters, is almost finished, according to Andis Salla.
Minister Salla stated that the scheme’s development is almost finished, citing discussions with farmers around the nation and their concerns about damage from hail, frost, floods, and fires.
“I have good news for all of the farmers I have visited around the nation who have expressed concern about the harm caused by natural disasters. Minister Salla stated, “We are completing the development of an agricultural insurance scheme that will create a new mechanism of support and protection for Albanian farmers.”
The program is meant to be available to both small and large farms, giving them more protection against unanticipated circumstances that could seriously harm output and farm household incomes.
One of the main components of the plan, according to Minister Salla, will be State Budget support for a portion of the insurance premium, which will lower the costs incurred by farmers and make the instrument more accessible and cheaper.
Salla emphasized, “Farmers should not be left alone in the face of a storm, frost, or fire that could destroy an entire year’s work.”
The minister claims that the goal of agriculture insurance is to give farmers more security, resilience, and protection while also building a sector that is better equipped to handle risks related to natural disasters.
“We want to build a stronger Albanian agricultural sector that is better prepared for every challenge by giving farmers more protection, security, and resilience through agricultural insurance,” he stated.
Finally, Minister Salla emphasized that efforts will continue to translate the issues brought up by local farmers into practical solutions.
Minister Salla said, “Our work continues to turn the concerns you have raised with us into concrete solutions.”
