New school year begins in Albania, new high school in Kamez municipality, champion for reborn educational infrastructure

The new 2023-2024 school year started on Monday all over Albania’s pre-university education system. In addition to the reconstructed existing schools, a series of newly-built educational facilities, all designed to meet contemporary European standards and infrastructure for habitability and environmental comfort and provide spaces for optimum education, welcome schoolchildren back.

One of them is the recently-built “Gramoz Palushi” high school with 650 students and 33 teachers in Kamez, an educational facility that has become champion for its educational infrastructure thanks to the exemplary work of local Mayor and the excellent cooperation with the central government.

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the new high school today, accompanied by the Minister of Education and Sports Evis Kushi and the Mayor of Kamez Rakip Suli.

“The new school houses 20 classrooms, science, biology, physics and chemistry laboratories. It also features an information technology laboratory and all new programs will be implemented, including the sports discipline and football in schools. The new school will also serve as a community centre, as it now meets all the required standards to benefit of 650 students and 33 teachers, as well as the local community. The new school also houses a classroom specifically equipped for children with different abilities. It also includes a psycho-social laboratory to meet the students’ and teachers’ needs,” the Minister of Education Evis Kushi said, adding that the new school year offers a series of novelties in terms of educational infrastructure and security at schools.
