404 new apartments are ready to open their doors in the center of Vora, for the residents who were affected by the devastating earthquake of November 26. The new apartments are free for every family whose house was destroyed. They are better, stronger, and more beautifully designed than the ones the families lost.
In order to see the quality of the new residential blocks, Prime Minister Rama accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, and the Mayor of Vora, Blerim Shera, inspected the apartments in the center of Vora.
“130 apartments have been distributed at the moment, and the rest will follow as soon as we have them. Everything is conducted through a regulated procedure”, said Mayor Shera.
The new residential buildings have underground parking, about 300 parking spaces in total.
“There are 30 buildings and we have 101 units in Marikaj, so a total of 506 apartments”, said Deputy Prime Minister Balluku.
As the Prime Minister met the residents of these buildings, he also stopped at some of the apartments, assessing the quality of the works.
“What they haven’t told you and what you haven’t heard, but what is important to say today is that these are homes for which you have no obligation. No money, no credit, no debt, nothing. You have your property, enjoy it, and do as you like, but just maintain it, not only the house inside but maintain the entire environment for the benefit of everyone and the children. This is the only thing you have to do. I saw the houses and they are like the ones in the middle of Tirana, but there they cost a lot, while here they are free!”, Prime Minister Rama emphasized.
The apartments in Vora are divided into 7 residential blocks and as in any area affected by the earthquake, their typologies are 1+1, 2+1, and 3+1.
