Call Opens for 300 Interest-Free Housing Loans for Public Administration Employees

The application period for 300 interest-free housing loans for public administration staff will commence on August 27, according to Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj. The e-Albania platform will be used to accept online applications, which will be accepted until September 25, 2026.
Applicants must work in public administration as defined by the Law “On Social Housing” in order to be eligible for the program. They also cannot own a home or have a property that is being legalized, unless their current residence does not meet the necessary housing criteria. Other requirements for eligibility include not having benefited from other social housing programs and not possessing real or moveable assets valued at more than half the cost of the house they plan to buy with the subsidized loan.
The acceptable floor area is established by the applicant’s family certificate, and the program offers financing for the purchase of a home based on the reference price. Five public administration organizations and bodies share the 300 quotas. The Prison Police/Ministry of Justice has been given 20 quotas, while the Ministries of Health and Social Welfare, Defense, Education, and Interior each have 70 quotas. The call instructions outline the necessary paperwork, the application process, and the complete eligibility requirements.
