Minister Nufi at CEDC Ministerial Meeting in Slovenia Highlights Albania’s Commitment to Strengthening Regional Cooperation

Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi attended the Ministerial Meeting of the Central European and Western Balkan Defense Cooperation in Brdo pri Kranju, Slovenia. Discussions at the meeting focused on strengthening regional cooperation in defense and security.
During the meeting, Minister Nufi emphasized Albania’s commitment to bolstering regional defense and security cooperation, and to working closely with allies and partners to promote peace, stability, and a European future for the Western Balkans. These efforts contribute to a safer, more stable, and more united Europe.
The ministerial meeting was held within the framework of the Central European Defense Cooperation (CEDC), which includes Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Slovenia holds the CEDC presidency in 2026, and Poland holds observer status.
