Mountain Package Enters Implementation Phase, Minister Demo: Around 200 Applications Approved by Municipalities

With almost 200 applications now accepted by municipal councils and the first development licenses granted to enable on-site investments, the Mountain Package has reached the implementation phase. Approximately 1,900 applications have been registered on the paketaemaleve.gov.al platform, and 52 municipalities have authorized over 460 priority areas to date.
State Minister for Local Government In order to promote economic growth in rural and mountainous areas, Ervin Demo stated that the process is progressing from the initial stage of interest and applications toward the realization of tangible investments.
The minister claims that towns are utilizing the Mountain Package as a vehicle to respond to demands from residents looking to make investments in these areas and to generate new chances for family and local economies.
The minister also explained the process for properties covered by the Mountain Package, stressing that it only applies to state-owned assets and has no bearing on private property. The procedure entails a 45-day public notification period during which proven ownership claims may be presented, as well as the municipality’s verification of the property. Before the process may proceed, any such claims are examined.
The Mountain Package seeks to establish chances to promote employment, investment, and the development of local economies while addressing property ownership challenges that have impeded investment in some places.
