“The Summit of the Berlin Process leaders in Tirana sends a strong message, showing the European Union is commitment to enlargement process”, the President of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen said shortly after being received in front of the Prime Minister’s office by PM Edi Rama on Monday.

The EC President said she has announced an EU economic and investment plan for the Western Balkans so that companies in the region can gain access to the European single market.

“Today’s summit sends a strong message about how much committed we are to the EU enlargement. We can do better and that’s why I revealed the growth plan as we want companies in the Western Balkans be provided with access to the European single market. For this we need reforms. The countries demonstrating will to deliver on reforms will participate in the market. Our doors are open, so let’s work on this plan today”, Von Der Leyen stated.
