The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani participated in Brussels in the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Meeting

Minister Hasani confirmed the unwavering commitment of Albania in its European path, as he underlined that the Albanian Government is doing the utmost to meet the objectives set by the EU.

“Last week’s report from the European Commission confirms the EU’s commitment to the region. If the EU strengthens its global role in the promotion of the rule of law, its success in our region will be decisive. The time has come for the Western Balkans to be a partner at the table to discuss common security challenges. We need more access to the EU bodies, to face security threats,” said Minister Hasani.

On the margins of the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Meeting, Minister Hasani met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of  Spain, Jose Manuel Albares and the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi.
