The Minister of European and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Luminita Odobescu, signed today the Action Plan for Cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs for the years 2024-2025.

The Action Plan aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in 4 main areas: Enhanced political dialogue and exchanges between the two ministries; EU integration; cooperation in NATO and security policy; and enhanced cooperation in consular affairs and crisis management.

During the meeting between Hasani and Odobescu, there was a fruitful exchange of views on the further expansion and deepening of bilateral cooperation in all areas of common interest, as well as on regional cooperation, developments in the region, in Europe, and beyond.

The Albanian Chief Diplomat expressed his gratitude to his Romanian counterpart for the support that Romania has given to the European integration process of our country, but also to other countries of the region in the EU, and asked for this support to be continued in the future.

This is the first visit of a Romanian Foreign Minister to Albania since 2014.
