The Ministry of Education and Sports, through ASCAP, in cooperation with the country’s main universities, has started the training of teachers within the National Program for the Professional Development of Teachers for the academic year 2024-2025.
The program begun with training teachers from the schools of Durrës, Korçë, Elbasan and Tropoja, and will expand to include more than 4,000 teachers from all over Albania by the end of 2024. The goal is to train more than 16,000 teachers in the country, equipping them with knowledge and skills that will positively impact the quality of education.
The program is supported by 7 public universities known for their excellence in teacher education, including the University of Tirana, Elbasan, Durres, Korça, Vlora, Gjirokastra and Shkodra.
These institutions offer specialized training in math, science, language, and primary education, preparing teachers for the challenges of teaching in the digital age.
Educators and trainers selected for their expertise provide continuous and personalized support to teachers, ensuring quality and practical professional development.
This program aims to revolutionize the education system by equipping teachers with innovative teaching methods and advanced technologies, and promotes a fundamental change in the way learning is done and teaching should be practiced.
