Italy is investing 25 million euros in developing fishing infrastructure as part of its “Blue Economy” initiative

At the most recent meeting of the Council of Ministers, the draft decision aimed at the development of the “Blue Economy” was approved.

Following the government meeting, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, made a public communication in which she stated that the Albanian government is engaged in close cooperation with the Italian government, with the goal of securing 25 million euros for the development of fishing infrastructure in Albania.

According to Denaj, the financing will be used not only to improve conditions for artisanal fishing, but also to establish new brands for fish products.

She expressed her expectation that the agreement will be ratified by the Assembly within the current year, with a view to implementing significant investments in the fishing sector.
