Albania-Switzerland Agreement on Social Security enters into force

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs informs that the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of Albania and the Federal Republic of Switzerland will enter into force on October 1st, 2023.

This agreement will give the citizens of both countries the right to enjoy the full benefits of their contributions. It covers old-age, survivors’ and invalidity insurance and is in line with international standards for the coordination of social security systems.

About 2,000 Albanian citizens will benefit from the recognition of their contributions under this agreement.
