Minister Manastirliu ensures that all students taking the State Matura 2024 will have a smooth and safe experience; administrators will not tolerate rules breaking

One day before the Matura Exams are set to begin, the Minister of Education and Sport, Ogerta Manastirliu, held a meeting with the observers who will closely follow the entire Matura exam process.

The exams will start on Monday 3 June with the foreign language exam. The Albanian language and literature exam will be held on 10 June, while the mathematics exam will be held on 18 June.

“There are 144 centers across Albania where the exams will take place, and the Ministry of Education and Sports will monitor the process with delegated representatives to ensure that every step of the process guarantees proper transparency. Some 2,900 teachers and educational staff will be deployed to ensure the smooth running of the exams in each center from north to south,” said Minister Manastirliu.

All the work that has been done during these months will be crowned with the beginning of the State Matura examination process for all graduates throughout the country.

“About 28,000 students, graduates, will take part in the State Matura exams. More than 2,900 employees of the education system will be involved in the supervision and administration of the process, including teachers, examiners, and employees of the Ministry of Education and Sports and its dependent structures. There will be 1,900 examiners supervising groups of 15-20 students, 200 responsible administrators, 250 secretary administrators, 290 responsible for school structures, and assistant teachers to support students with special abilities. There are also 230 administrators for monitoring and evaluating the progress of the exams in all 144 examination points,” said Manastirliu.

The Minister of Education and Sport emphasized the strict implementation of the State Matura Regulation.

“We have a regulation that has to be implemented by everyone, from the schools all the way to the national level. I hope there will be no irregularities. There will be no tolerance for cases that violate the regulation. Students must be calm and safe during this examination process,” stressed Minister Manastirliu.
