Mr. Petrit Malaj, the Minister of Finance, met with Mr. Fabrizio Bucci, the Italian Ambassador in Tirana.
During this encounter, they assessed Albania and Italy’s excellent relations and discussed the two countries’ economic cooperation.
Minister Malay expressed gratitude to Ambassador Bucci for the ongoing assistance our nation has received from the Italian government in a number of sectors related to economic growth.
Mr. Malaj noted that Italy is one of Albania’s greatest trading partners and the primary source of foreign direct investment in the banking, energy, manufacturing, and construction industries.
The Minister of Finance expressed particular gratitude for the signing of the agreement on pensions and unemployment between Albania and Italy, as well as the commitment to further collaboration in terms of technical expertise for the harmonization and alignment of our legislation with the directives of the European Union.
The Italian Ambassador, for his part, congratulated Mr. Malay on his appointment to the new role of Minister of Finance and reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to enhancing and growing the two nations’ partnership.
