Vore municipality, Tirana district, one of the worst-hit areas by the devastating earthquake that rocked Albania in November 2019, is successfully completing various post-earthquake reconstruction stages at the huge Urban Renaissance construction site, where a brand-new residential neighborhood with 405 apartments, service units on both sides of the new commercial road, new school and wide public spaces is taking its final shape.
Prime Minister Edi Rama continued inspections in Vore, accompanied by Mayor Blerim Shera. “This neighborhood houses 101 apartments and it is divided in five complexes. There stands the newly-built nine-year school, whereas construction of Isa Boletini high school is nearing completion. We very much hope that construction work will fully complete by December. A new public kindergarten has also been built. In other words, all the educational facilities have been built from scratch,” Mayor Shera said.
The government head Edi Rama praised the work to date, stating that the devastating earthquake was turned into a fresh opportunity for total transformation thanks to a recovery and reconstruction programme launched by the Albanian government in the wake of the disaster.
